Take Online Typing Test to Boost your Speed
Typing speed is an asset for a person. In many cases people may rate you by your typing speed. You can measure your typing speed by taking online typing tests. There are many sites available for taking typing tests. Today Im gonna talk about some popular and useful sites for taking typing tests.
This is my second post about typing. If youre regular on this site then you should notice this post- Typing Speed Secret!. In that post I discussed about how to increase typing speed.
Today Im gonna share 4 sites from where you can take typing tests. Its totally free of cost and online. You dont need to install any software or anything. All of them have some advantages and disadvantages. You can choose any of them. Whatever you do, make sure youre trying regularly. Otherwise nothing and none can increase your speed.
- TypingTest.com: This is the most strong and popular site for taking typing test. In fact, this site is a part of famous Typing Master Software. After visiting this site youve to set the language, duration and article. Then hit on Start Test. Immediately you will be redirected to the test page. Start typing to begin the test. After finishing the test, youve to carefully analyze the result.
- Free Online Touch Typing Speed Test Another popular site for typing test. The most important feature of this site is- simple. Ya this site is really very simple and easy to use. When you visit the site a new article will appear. To start the test, hit on Start the Clock button. When you finish hit on Stop the Clock. After stopping the clock you will get the result.
- Rapid Typing Zone: Well this site is more interesting. At least this site has attracted me. Know why? Because it stores your result! When you visit this site you can see the list of recent test results. Your name and speed will also be displayed there after taking the test. And you can also see the list of speed winner! To start the test, type your name and set your text. Then hit on Start test, and when you finish click on Done.
- Speed Typing Online: This site is fantastic! Ive never seen such a marvelous system. This site doesnt show the text separately. The given text is gray colored. When you type the color will be green. If youre wrong the text color will be red. Speed and accuracy will be counted immediately.
These are the online methods of taking typing tests. But these methods are only for those people who dont wanna install typing master. But if you have any typing software then you may get something more from it.
First, I personally suggest you to use Typing Master software. When your speed is more than 30 wpm then you should go for the online test.
Remember: Before memorizing the keys do not try to increase the speed. If you do so, then your accuracy will not be satisfactory.
Tips: While trying to increase the speed, also focus on accuracy.

UniJoy Layout Unicode Bengali Typing System
16th December! The Victory Day of Bangladesh. Regular visitors of Marks PC Solution know that, we hardly celebrate any National or International day. But today Ive a topic to write about! Though it is more relevant to the International Mother Language Day, I cant wait until 21st February. Today I am gonna talk about UniJoy Layout: Bengali Keyboard Input System.
Well you know this is not my first post about Bengali Typing. Earlier Ive published posts about:

Most of the people are now using Avro Keyboard to type Bangla in Unicode. Bijoy has also introduced Unicode Bangla typing system for few years. But it has failed to meet the users demand. The first reason is that Bijoy demands money from the users. The second reason is its inability to run smoothly.
Bijoy cant run well in Windows 7 or 8. Where Bijoy 2003 was excellent for Windows XP, Bijoy 2010 and 11 are below standard for Windows 7 and 8. Its very common that users face problem to type some letters. And changing keyboard is also a big problem. In Avro, we just need to press F12. But Bijoy needs Ctrl+Alt+B (ASCII) or Ctrl+Alt+V (Unicode).
Avro has some problems too. Since Mustafa Jabber filed a case against Omicronlab, they can no longer use the Bijoy Keyboard Layout. But 90% Bangladeshis are used to type with this layout.
If you wanna get rid of these giant methods of Bengali Typing, then you can use UniJoy to type Bangla. Remember, with this simple keyboard input system, you can type in Unicode only. And it has no interface. You can just change the keyboard with this tool. It will just change your keyboard in Bengali. And it has no options to customize.
No special requirement. Works with any version of Windows Operating System.

Installation:
- Download the zipped folder from the link above. Then unzip it.
- Double click on the Setup.exe and wait for few seconds
- A new window will appear and youve to close it.
- Done! Press Shift + Alt to type Bangla!
Instruction:
Very simple. Layout is just like Bijoy. Look at the image below:
It is almost similar to Bijoy Layout except few changes. And I think that will not be so difficult for you to type. If you face any problem to type, then download the conjunction list. You should be fine.
To switch keyboard mode, press Shift + Alt (Left Shift & Left Alt). Press once for Bengali and press again for English.
If you want to know your current mode, look at the bottom right corner of your monitor. Its just left to the clock. You will see ENG, if your Keyboard is in English. And if you press Shift+Alt, you will see Bangla.

- Conjunction Lists for UniJoy
Ive used this tool in my PC. It doesnt create any problem regarding installation or operation. But it has some problems with few letters. Im not sure about earlier versions of Windows. But in Windows 8, I cant type few words properly. Without this problem, this is really a nice tool to Unicode Bangla Typing.

Typing Speed Secret!!!
New PC users (sometimes intermediate users too) ask a question very often. It maybe any of the type below:
- How can I increase my typing speed?
- How to type faster?
- Why I cant type like a pro?
- Could I ever type more than 50 words per minute?
Suggestion is also a very typical one. Practice, practice and practice.
Practice Makes a Man Perfect
Sum up all the suggestions about way to typing fast you get throughout the net and from the other people you know. What youll get is practice. Definitely without sufficient practice you cant type faster. There is no shortcut method. There is no alternative. Secret is in the method of practicing!
But today Im gonna share a secret with you. If you follow this method, surely you can boost your typing speed.
Simply try to memorize the movements of your finger while typing a word!
You may notice that you can quickly type some words which are very common for you. And you cant type some words fast. Why this problem occurs? Why you cant quickly type all the words?
Because you dont know the finger movements for other words. Start memorizing the finger movements of the word you type. And get the result within few hours!
Ive also some additional tips for you:
- Get a clear Idea about the location of each key in the keyboard. Any confusion will reduce your typing speed.
- Type difficult words again and again until you can memorize the finger movements of those words.
- Never break the typing rules. Such as using 2 or 3 fingers of a hand, looking to the keyboard, wrong position of the fingers.
- Chat with your friends in G Talk, Facebook or Messenger with a target to type faster.
- Type at least one hour daily.
Example: Suppose you hear a word - Blogger. Immediately after hearing this word you have to think which fingers you should use to type the letters B, l, o, g, g, e, r. Doesnt matter whether youre on a computer or playing cricket. You have to think of it internally.
My Own Case: As my blog name is Marks PC Solution, I need to type it very frequently. I cant type Marketing Research as faster as Marks PC Solution. Because I dont need to type Marketing Research frequently and never tried to memorize the finger movements for this word. But if you wanna be faster youve to memorize the movements.

And dont try to do this before knowing all the rules of typing. When you are fully aware of the rules and regulations of typing you should practice this method.
