Download Android 4.0.4 ICS Update For Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi, A few hours ago, we reported about the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update roll out for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) tablets. Now, we’ve one good news to share with the users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi tablets. Finally, the manufacturer has started seeding the long awaited Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Tab 8.9. In fact the update was supposed to roll out a long time ago, but Sammy couldn’t make it due to some pending issues.
The update will bring with the usual goodies of ICS build, including Face Unlock, improved notifications, data usage and the new Recent Apps shortcut and many more.
The update is now available in the Malaysia over-the-air and users can also grab it through Kies program. Unfortunately, the update isn’t rolling out in all parts of the world, but more are expected to follow in the next few days.
If you rockin’ the Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, you can check for it manually by going into Settings > About device > System updates. In case you are inpatient for the update, SamMobile has covered for you. You can download the Android 4.0.4 ROM (Malaysia version) from the below link. But, be prepared for the risks after installing the unofficial ROM on your device.

The New Tab from Walton Primo Walpad 8W
Walton after introducing Walpad 7 and Walpad 8 it is further focused to increase its share in tablet market of Bangladesh. In this effort it declared the Primo Walpad 8W. The price is not declared yet. You can have a look at the specs below. I dont find any major difference with the previous Walpad 8. It would be a great addition if they thought of introducing the tab with 2 GB Ram and the latest android OS Kitkat.

SOFTWARE FEATURES
The Tab 2 10.1 is the second Samsung tablet, after the Tab 2 7.0, to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.3 to be precise) installed.
Samsungs TouchWiz UX skin is of course included and comes with custom Samsung apps like Music Hub, Media Hub, and Game Hub, a built-in screenshot app, and the Mini Apps tray located on the bottom of the screen. Tapping it brings up a tray of apps consisting of a calculator, notes, calendar, music player, and clock. However, the most useful of these is still the task manager, which allows you to quickly kill any app running in the background; this comes in handy when apps become otherwise unresponsive.
The basic look and design of ICS are retained, just with a TouchWiz skin and a few extra shortcuts for quickly turning off Wi-Fi, GPS, screen rotation, and so on. As an added bonus, Samsung offers 50GB of free Dropbox storage for the first year.
