How to Install Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows XP

Microsoft Security Essentials is the most reliable antivirus ever released In fact it is a great job by Microsoft Corporation to provide an antivirus to the Windows users at free of cost. Though it is very harmful for the third party security companies.
Windows 7 users can easily install MSE on their computers. But if youre using Windows XP then you may face problem installing it on your system. To install MSE on Windows XP SP 2 you need some additional files.
To install MSE on XP SP 2 download the file below. Then install all the three files of the folder. Then install MSE. If your XP is service pack 3 then install only the first file.
MSE Installation Tools for XP
If you use Windows 8 then you dont need any third party security software. Because it has built in security system.

CFO Peter Klein is Going to Leave Microsoft

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Peter Klein, is gonna leave Microsoft within next month. Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, had said a new CFO will be named within few weeks from their Finance Leadership Team. Peter said he is willing to spend his time with the family after working for over the last 30 years.
Peter Klein is an 11 year Microsoft Expert. And he is working as CFO for more than 3.5 years. He said this is a perfect time for him to resign from the Microsoft. Because the financial position of the organization is very strong at present.
Klein contributed a lot in the acquisition of Skype and Yammer. He has also exhibited good oversight on Cost Controls as CFO.
Microsofts profit has been boosted by revenue earned from Windows, Office, Video Games etc. Earnings rose to $6 billion, or 72 cents per share, from $5.1 billion, or 60 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue improved by 18 percent from $17.41 billion to $20.49 billion a year ago. But European Union has fined the company ($732 million) for breaking promises relating to expanding the choice of Internet browsers on Windows.
Peter Kleins Resignation Letter:
One noteworthy characteristic of Finance is the regularity of its rhythm month end, quarter end, year end. Every one of those milestones marks the passage of time. And as time passes, and milestones are marked, we all periodically reflect on our lives, our goals, and our priorities. As we approach the end of the fiscal year, I have been reflecting in that way. And I have decided that now is a good time for me to step away from Microsoft and take some time to spend with my family in a way that I havent had the opportunity to do in the 30 years I have been working.
This has not been an easy decision. I love Microsoft. I love my job. When I joined Microsoft 11 years ago I had this loosely held belief that people were one of the most important elements of any job or any company. I had no idea how profoundly true that is, but I do now. People are everything. Microsoft is the most amazing collection of talented, passionate and caring people I could ever imagine being associated with. Its been an honor and my good fortune to have been part of that.
I am proud of the work that Finance has done and the impact we have had on the Company. One reason that now is a good time to leave is that the organization is very strong, and I am delighted we will be naming an internal candidate. I couldnt be more optimistic about both the Companys and Finances future.
Looking ahead, I have no specific plans. In the short term I will work to ensure a smooth transition. After that I intend to spend time with my extended family which is dispersed throughout the country and hopefully get to some long deferred travel. For the last 11 years Microsoft has been my family and now I am going to focus on my other family.
Thanks for being such a great team I will follow your success with great interest and pride.
Peter
Steve Ballmers Announcement to Employees:
Today in our earnings release, we announced that after nearly four years as CFO and 11 years at Microsoft, Peter Klein has decided to step down as CFO and leave Microsoft at the end of our current fiscal year. I will be naming a new CFO from our finance leadership team in the next several weeks.
Peter has been a key part of my leadership team and a strong advisor to me during his tenure. He helped drive the successful Skype and Yammer acquisitions, has had a profound impact on the finance profession overall, and exhibited good oversight on cost controls as CFO. I have really enjoyed working with Peter, and appreciate his many contributions to the finance organization, to Microsoft and to me.
Im sure all of you have seen media coverage from the last two weeks. As I said in our earnings release, our long term bets on the cloud are paying off, and while the mobile device environment is challenging, the decisions we made with Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 set us up well for long term growth. Highlights of our earnings are below. I encourage you to listen to our earnings webcast at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time today at http://microsoft.com/investor.
Steve
Analysts expressed their opinion as- Kleins resignation will not be good for Microsoft as the overall situation was satisfactory during his time. And if any reason, Steve Ballmer follows the path of Klein, then it will be a real trouble for Microsoft.

- Microsoft Office 2010
- Microsoft Office 2013

- Open any of the said programs - Im using Word.
- Go to the Insert Tab - Find the Screenshot option.
- Now hit on the drop down arrow beneath Screenshot option
- If youve some other windows open in desktop, you will see those in Available Windows - Choose one of them to directly insert that screenshot.
- If you dont see your necessary window in the list, then youve to hit on the Screen Clipping option.
- Now your document will be minimized and you will get a cross pointer > Select the necessary part of your screen > That part will be directly added to your file
Tips:
Sometimes, it could be difficult for you to operate this tool properly. To avoid difficulties, you must know the following tips:
- If you need to capture the screenshot of your desktop only, then keep all other programs either closed or minimized except the program from which youre taking screenshot - Suppose MS Word.
- You can also capture the part of your current program. Suppose youre clipping from MS Word and youve to take the screenshot of this program. When you hit on the Screen Clipping option, MS Word will be minimized - You will get 1 second to restore it. Then you will be able to capture the running document.
- If you wanna take the screenshot of a particular program, you must keep that program running - Make sure the window of that program is running - It shouldnt be minimized - Thus you can find that program in the list of Available Windows.
- If you have multiple windows open on your desktop, only maximize the window which you wanna capture - Keep all other windows minimized or closed.
- Remember, After hitting the Screen Clipping button from the Screenshot option, you will get near about 1 second to choose any screen - Within this time, youve to minimize or maximize a program that you would like to capture.

Creating a simple flowchart in Microsoft Word
Flowcharts can help you communicate technical information more clearly through your MS Word documents. How you create a flowchart varies according to its complexity. For example:
- If you wish to create a detailed, complex flowchart, you can use a separate graphics tool, such as Visioor Dia, to create a flowchart and then import it into your MS word document.
- If you wish to create a simple flowchart, you can use the Shapes menu, as explained below, to create your flowchart within MS Word.
Note: This document applies to creating simple flowcharts specifically in MS Word 2007, and generally in newer versions of MS Word.
Displaying the Shapes menu
To display the Shapes menu in an MS Word document do the following:
- Open a new or existing MS Word document.
- As shown in Figure 1 below, add several blank paragraphs where you wish to create a flowchart.
- Place the text-insertion point (blinking cursor) at any blank paragraph and then click Insert to display its ribbon as shown in Figure 2 below.
- Click Shapes to display its menu as shown Figure 3 below.
Figure 1 - Making space for your flowchart. |
Figure 2 - The Insert ribbon includes a Shapes icon. |
Figure 3 - The Shapes menu includes a Flowchart section and a LInes section. |
To add flowchart shapes to your MS word flowchart, do the following:
- Display the Shapes menu according the procedure above.
- Under Flowchart, select a shape, such as Process, to change your mouse pointer to cross-hairs.
- Click and hold the left mouse key, drag the cross-hairs to create and size the shape, and then release the key to place the shape on the page as shown in Figure 4 below.
- Move and resize the shape as necessary. Note: Selecting a shape causes Word to display its Drawing Tools - Format ribbon.
- Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each shape you wish to add to your flowchart. For example, you might add a Decision shape and two Terminator shapes as shown in Figure 5 below. Note: If you need to duplicate a shape, you can copy and paste it.

Adding Lines to interconnect shapes
To add interconnecting lines among the shapes in your MS word flowchart, do the following:- Add two or more flowchart shapes according to the procedure above.
- Click Insert, and then click Shapes to display its menu.
- Under Lines, select a line, such as Elbow Arrow Connector, to change your mouse pointer to cross-hairs.
- Click and hold the left mouse key, drag the cross-hairs to create and size the line, and then release the key to place the line on the page as shown in Figure 6 below. Note: You can drag the yellow diamond to reshape the line.
- Drag the green end points of the line so that its arrow interconnects the Process and Decision shapes as shown in Figure 7 below. Note: The line is straight if you place its green end points at the same level.
- Copy and paste the line, and then use the new line to interconnect the top of the Decision shape with the top Terminator shape.
- Repeat step 6 to interconnect the bottom of the Decision shape with the bottom Terminator shape as shown in Figure 8 below.

Figure 7 - Connecting the Process shape to the Decision shape. |
Figure 8 - Connection the Decision shape to the Terminator shapes. |
You can add text labels to your flowchart shapes. To add text to a shape, right-click the shape and then select Add Text. For more information, please see: Add text to drawings in Microsoft Office Word 2007.
Note: You can also add shapes, such as small Process shapes, for use only as labels into which you add text. For example, you might wish to place labels near certain lines.

How to Create Shortcuts for Symbols in Microsoft Word

Though graphical user interface has almost smashed away the command line, still keyboard shortcut is very popular among professionals. Still it is the best way to get out the best from any software. Because graphical user interface may let you easily use the software but keyboard shortcuts can give you the productivity.
Earlier Ive provided keyboard shortcuts for different programs. You can also read these:
- Keyboard Shortcuts for MS Excel
- Shortcuts for Internet Browsers
- Ctrl + A to Ctrl + Z Shortcuts for MS Word
- Keyboard Shortcuts for MS Word
Today you will learn how to create shortcuts for symbols or special characters in MS Word. For example: Alt + 1 for ×, Ctrl + Num 0 = ?, Ctrl + Num 1 = ÷ etc. Okay lets begin:
- At first open MS Word.
- Then go to Symbol (Word XP and 2003 users will find it under Insert Menu. And Word 2007 and 2010 should go to the Insert Tab then at the right side there will be Symbol option. Then choose More Symbols from down arrow).
- Now you will see the Symbol Window with many symbols arranged under different fonts.
- Select the Symbol or Character you want to make a shortcut for.
- Click the Shortcut Key.
- In the Press New Shortcut Key box press the key combination you wanna use for the selected symbol. For example: Ctrl + desired letter. Desired letter maybe 1 or num 1, or A, B, C etc. But make sure that this combination doesnt conflict with any existing shortcuts. (Never assign any shortcuts from Ctrl + A to Ctrl + Z. Use Alt key while combining with A to Z)
- Finally hit on the Assign button. Or if you wanna remove the previous one then hit on the remove button. Thats it.
Note: Some characters may already have shortcut key combination. You will see the combination when you are in the symbol window. It will be right to the Shortcut Key button.
