Resize Image by Free Image Converter

large to small circle

Sometimes you may need to re size high quality images. Maybe you captured some photos by high quality digital camera. Most of the cases a photo maybe over 3 MB in size!

If a single image is more than 3 MB in size and you have to send 30 images to someone by email then it maybe more than 90 MB. If your net connection is very poor or bandwidth is very limited then can you send these images to that person?

What do you do in that case? Looking for a good network or not send at all?

Well this problem has a very good solution. A 3 MB size photo maybe ideal for printing purpose. But only for viewing purpose it is not necessary to be more than 100 KB! And after re-sizing the image your 90 MB image folder will be less than 3 MB!!!

Lets discuss how to re-size the high quality image.

Follow the instructions below:
  1. Download the Free Image Converter from this link. Free means free. It has no premium version yet. 100% free of cost.
  2. Now install this on your PC. It supports all running versions of Windows i.e. XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
  3. After installing you should find an icon of the image converter on your desktop. Double click on it to open.
  4. Click on the Add Images button to select few images. Or choose Add Folder option to choose a large image folder.
  5. Now have a look at the right panel- simple options. Select size and quality. Or keep it in default settings- size 800 * 60 and quality 70.
  6. Then hit on the Simple Convert.
  7. Now a new window will ask you to choose a location to store the converted images. Choose a specific folder or create a new one. Done! Just wait for the operation to be finished!
Note: Ive personally tested this software. Ive converted my 1 GB photo folder. There were more than 400 photos. After converting the size it was just 20 MB! And it took less than 5 minutes! Quality was also satisfactory.

HOW TO DRAW A PANDA IMAGE FLASH DRIVE DESIGN IN MS WORD

MICROSOFT WORD DRAWING PROJECT No. 17

TITLE:   A PANDA IMAGE FLASH DRIVE DESIGN

TYPE:   GRAPHIC DESIGN

Having drawn the panda and the flash drive in MS Word in the earlier graphics projects, why not combine these two subjects to create a panda image flash drive design. In case readers wonder why use a serious looking panda image for the design, I feel that the flash drive with this design is suitable to be used to keep “serious data” such as document, PowerPoint and other project files.  I prefer to use the rabbit design instead to keep “light data” such as movie, mp3 and picture files. Well, this is only my opinion.

How to burn an ISO disk image through Nero

An ISO disk image file (also known as simply an ISO image file) is an executable file that you can burn (write) to a blank, recordable CD or DVD. After you burn an ISO file to a blank disk, it is similar to any installation CD or DVD that lets you install a product, such as a single software program or a complete operating system. For more information, see Wikipedia ISO Image.

Although the procedure below applies specifically to Nero Express 6, it applies generally to most programs through which you can burn ISO image files to blank disks. To burn an ISO image file through Nero, do the following:
  1. If you have not already done so, install Nero. For example, you can download and install a free version, such as Nero 9 Lite.
  2. Insert a blank, recordable disk (CD or DVD) into the burner (DVDRW drive) through which you wish burn your ISO image file.
  3. Double click on your Nero StartMart desktop icon to start Nero and display its window.
  4. Select (move your mouse over) the Copy and Backup icon, and then click on Burn Image to Disk to display the "Open" window.
  5. Use the "Files of type" drop-down menu to select Image Files (*.nrg;*.iso;*.cue).
  6. Navigate to the ISO file that you wish to download, select it, and then click on the Open button to display the "Nero Express Image recorder" window.
  7. Use the "Destination drive" drop-down menu to select the drive into which you placed your blank disk.
  8. Select (check mark) Verify data on disk after burning.
  9. Click on the Next button to start the burning process and display its window, which shows "Process status" and "Remaining time." (The entire burning and verifying process might take approximately 30 minutes. Of course, while waiting, you can minimize the recorder window and perform other tasks.)
  10. After Nero burns your ISO image file, click on the Next button to eject the disk, and then click on the Exit button to close Nero Express and redisplay the "Nero" window.
  11. Close the "Nero" window.

Even the graphics master Adobe Illustrator doesnt have any icon format save option. But there are some converters which can convert image into icon. And most of these tools are premium. In Marks PC Solution, I hardly discuss about premium tools. :)

What is Icon?

Icon is a special type of image format. And normally its not used to share photos or images. Usually icons are used in folder or hard disk drive to distinguish it from others. And normally icon is small in size. It maybe 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64.

Do you remember, In 2012, I wrote a post about Showing Picture on USB Flash Drive. And that custom picture must be an icon. That means the picture format must be .ico in order to show in USB drive.

How to Remove Borders from Blogger Image

Image with and Without Borders

Look at the two images above. Both of them are almost same. Except the second one has borders outside. The first one is transparent and it has no shadow or border. And the second one is transparent but there is a boudary outside of it. Which one do you like?

If you are a regular visitor of Marks PC Solution, then you should notice our images has no borders. In fact no borders at present, previously out images has borders. Most of the time I like to use transparent image with PNG extension. And outside of each image, there was a border which looks very odd. But adding a CSS code removes this problem.

Few days ago, one of my acquintances shared a code with me. He said this code removes the outside border of the uploaded images in blogger blog. I applied this code in Marks PC Solution. And magically there is no borders outside of my images. All images are now fully transparent!

By default, blogger blogs automatically add borders and shadows outside of your uploaded images. In case of non-transparent images (maybe PNG, JPEG, GIF) it doesnt matter. But when you upload a transparent image with PNG format the borders look really odd. It affects the transparency of the image. Though blogger template designer allows you to change the shadows and borders of the images. But you cant fully remove the borders.

Today I will show how can you fully get rid of your blogger images from borders.

Well, this is not a tough job at all. All you need is just to add a CSS code in your blogger template. Then you will be able to see this magic. Okay lets start.
  1. Make sure youre signed in to your blogger account.
  2. Go to the Admin Panel/ Design/ Dashboard or whatever you call it.
  3. Click on the Template button from the left pane.
  4. Now hit on the Customize option.
  5. At the left side you get a list. Select Advance from here.
  6. Now another list will appear. Drop down and choose Add CSS from that list. You can also take help of the image below.
  7. Now a box named Add Custom CSS will appear at the right side.
  8. Copy and paste the CSS code below in the Add Custom CSS box.
  9. Youre almost done! Now hit on the Apply to Blog button from the top right corner.
  10. Done! Visit your blog and see the magic!

.post-body img, .post-body .tr-caption-container, .Profile img, .Image img,
.BlogList .item-thumbnail img {
  padding: none !important;
  border: none !important;
  background: none !important;
  -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
  -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
  box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
}

There are 10 steps to do this task. Doesnt this process look very long? Okay Im gonna shorten this! Just follow the simple way below:

Template > Customize > Advance > Add CSS > Add Custom CSS Box (Copy and Paste the above code here) > Apply to Blog.

How to Create Transparent Image by Photoshop

How to Create Transparent Image by Photoshop

Im really sorry for the long break in writing. I published the last post few weeks ago. Because there were weeks but no weekends. Due to the serious political crisis in Bangladesh, Banking Sector and business activities were down. And Govt. was trying to recover the loss through continuous banking. And I had to attend the office every day. In this week, bankers got weekend finally. And Im gonna publish a new post.

This is an exclusive post for this site. Ive never published any tips on Adobe Photoshop. This is the first time Im writing about Photoshop. Today I will discuss about creating transparent image. You know transparent image has no background color. It looks very smart when transparency is used with any design or logo. A logo with a white background is not as fine as transparent logo.

If you use transparency, only the image or logo will be displayed. There will be no background of that image. If you place the logo in a black color, background will be black. If you place it on red color, background will be red. Thus whenever you place any transparent logo on a color, the background will take that color.

Ive used Photoshop CS5 to create this tutorial. All images of this post are from CS5. CS4, CS5 & CS6 looks almost similar. But in previous versions, options could be slightly different.

Transparent Layer Settings in Adobe Photoshop

Okay lets start. Look at the above image. This is a sample settings for creating transparent image. Follow the procedure below:

Run Photoshop from your PC > Hit Ctrl + N > Choose Height, Width & Resolution as your requirement > Select Transparent from Background Contents > Enter.

Now you will get transparent layer as the image below. It looks like grid. Whatever you draw or write here, it will be transparent. But you must save the file with .PNG extension. Otherwise transparency will be disappeared.

Adobe Photoshop Transparent Layer

To save your file, Press Ctrl + S (Save)/ Shift + Ctrl + S (Save as) > Type your File Name > Select PNG as File format > Save.

If you write or draw anything in this transparent layer and save it as PNG file, it will have no background color. But if you place any image or logo which have a background color, it will appear in the saved file. In that case your picture will not be transparent. But you can erase the unnecessary color from your image using the eraser.

When you erase any part of your image, make sure the transparent layer is visible. Otherwise your picture will not be transparent. And when erasing anything, make sure you have selected the proper layer from the layer panel. If you select wrong layer, then you will not be able to erase the necessary part of your image.

Adobe Photoshop Layers

Remember, whenever you write or draw something in Photoshop, it will create a new layer. Whenever you place something in your Photoshop document, it will create a new layer. So, while editing anything, make sure youve selected the exact layer where you wanna edit.
