How to Change Windows Password without Knowing it !!!




Today Im gonna write about an amazing trick for you! By this time youve already understood about what Im talking about. Yes, you can change windows password without knowing it. But PC should be in a running condition! 

This is a very easy method. If youre new user then you might face some problems. But mid level user can do this within few minutes. But your PC should be in the Administrator mode to do this task. 

This system has been tested for Windows 8 and 7. But this method may also work on Windows XP. Okay lets start. 

  1. Open Command prompt as Administrator. XP users dont require Administrative mode. 
  2. Now type this command and press enter- net user
  3. Now type another command and press enter- net user Administrator *
  4. Type the new password and press enter.
  5. Retype the password and press enter.
  6. If password is changed then you will see the message- the command completed successfully
Remember: When you typing the new password, you cursor will not be moved. Dont be afraid.  You can take help from the image below:



And dont forget to create a Password Reset Disk to avoid any accident. If you have the reset disk you can change your password if forgotten.

How to Verify AdSense Account without PIN


Manual Verification Process of AdSense Account


Those of youre working with Google AdSense should know, AdSense account needs to be verified by a PIN Number. AdSense sends the PIN number in your postal address. And then you have to enter the PIN number in your AdSense account settings. If postal communication is okay in your area, then its very easy for you to verify the account. Unfortunately, if your postal service is poor, wouldnt you be able to earn through Google AdSense? 



Why you Need to Verify PIN Number? 

Traditional payment system of AdSense is Check. When you request for payment, Google sends check to your postal address. Thats why you need to ensure the AdSense team that your address is correct. When you get the letter from AdSense including PIN number, then Google sends check to your address. 



If you cant Get the PIN Letter? 

Its very natural that you could miss the PIN letter. Thats why Google gives you three chances to request for AdSense PIN letter. That means you can request the PIN number for three times. At best three letters will be issued for you. If youre not as unlucky me, you should get the PIN.



Three Times Failed! How to Verify PIN? 

Lets come to the point. My todays post is all about this! Ive applied for the PIN number three times. But I havent got it yet. But Ive verified my AdSense Account without PIN number! This is called manual verification process. 



Manual Verification Process (No PIN Required)! 

As there are some other options to get your money from AdSense, the use of PIN number is not mandatory I think. Even Bangladeshis can now withdraw their money through bank accounts. 

But AdSense team doesnt like to remove the PIN verification feature to ensure the safety of your account. If you cant enter the PIN number even after trying for three times, then AdSense may consider your issue. 

Suppose youve tried your last chance for getting the PIN number. Now go step by step: 

  1. You will get an option at the page where youre supposed to verify the PIN.
  2. You will be required to describe your problem in details. Within few hours you will get a confirmation message that your problem has been forwarded to the concerened authority. 
  3. Or contact directly through this email: adsense-support@google.com
  4. Hopefully AdSense team will contact you within 24 hours. They may ask your Govt. Issued ID Card with your Payee Name and Postal Address (As shown in AdSense account). If your AdSense account address is different from ID card, then you can use utility bills copy which has the same address as shown in your AdSense account. Upload the scanned ID Card with Utility Bill if necessary. Send it to the above AdSense Support Email. 
  5. Remember, the language of your ID Card and Utitlity Bill Copy should be one of the Supported Languages of AdSense. Otherwise AdSense Team might not be able to verify your account. 
  6. After sending your National ID Card or Electrict Bill or Gas Bill to the AdSense Team, you will get another email within next 24 hour. If AdSense is satisfied, your account will be verified without PIN! Believe me - Ive made it!


Secret Tips:

Suppose your Govt. ID Card is not issued in one of the supported languages. Will you try to manually edit the ID? Sounds bad - but not bad at all! Suppose your National ID is in Bengali or Hindi. You can just edit your Name, ID Number and Address and rewrite these in English. But make sure that AdSense will not be able to detect it. Otherwise your account may be suspended.

Create New Volumes without Partition !!


Shrink Drives to Create New Volumes

Disk Management is a nice tool to manage your hard disk drives. With this tool, you can easily format, shrink and extend your existing volems. You can do some other tasks too. But today Im gonna discuss about creating new volumes by splitting existing volumes. 


Background Story

Two weeks ago, one of my acquaintances got a new laptop. It comes with Windows 8, Intel Core i5 processor and 1 TB Hard disk. Not very extraordinary nowadays. But I was really surprised when heard there is only 1 partition in his laptop!! Can you believe it? One partition for a 1 TB hard disk! My goodness - this is a thousand GB partition! 

I know how to split a drive to create new partition. But didnt even try this earlier. After getting the case of 1000 GB partition, I tried to shrink a drive in my own PC. After successfully trying this on my PC, I advised him how to divide the one partition into several drives. By this time maybe he has fixed this. :) 


Supported Versions:

Disk Management tool is same both in Windows 7 and 8. Windows XP may have the same advantage but Im not sure. If XP users has any problem, you can inform be through comments. 


Create New Volumes Without Partition - No Restart! No Interruption!!

Make sure youre the Admin of your PC. And right now youre logged in as Administrator. Now start -
  1. Right click on My Computer icon from desktop. (How to show My Computer icon on desktop)
  2. Hit on the Manage option. 
  3. Computer Management window will appear. 
  4. Choose Disk Management under the Storage option from the left pane. 
  5. Here you will get the list of your volumes with capacity and free spaces. 
  6. Right click on the drive you wanna shrink.
  7. Select Shrink Volume and you will get the below window.

Here you will get the total size before shrink. Now enter the space to shrink. Simply count the 1000 MB for 1 GB. In the image Ive used 5000 MB for 5 GB. Then check how much you will have in the drive after shrink. Before proceed, make sure everything is okay. 

Now Press Shrink > You will get the following image > Right click on the Free Space > New Simple Volume > Pres Next > Enter Simple Volume Simple > Next > Assign Drive Letter (Suppose L) > Format the volume (Choose format type, label) > Next > Finish.

Within few seconds, you will get a brand new drive!

How to Get it Back? 

Suppose you made a mistake. Or you were just trying to do it. But dont want to divide the volume actually. How do you get the new volume back to your old volume? Very simple!
  1. Right click on the new volume.
  2. Choose Delete Volume.
  3. You will get the above image again. 
  4. Now right click on your old volume and choose Extend volume. 
  5. Press Next > Next > Finish. 

This procedure doesnt require any restart. Even you dont need to close any program running on your PC. Its fast, simple and reliable. 


Precautions:

While running this operation you should be very careful. Though this tool is safe to use, but you may lose your data for any wrong command. Suppose, you may delete a volume which contains your valuable files. Or you may format an existing partition which contains important data. So, before making a click, be sure youre really doing the right job.

HTML Tutorial 4 Tags Without Ends


HTML Tags with no ending tags


After a long break I am gonna write another tutorial on HTML. This will be the number 4 tutorial of HTML. Today I would like to share some tags which dont have any endings! I mean you can just start these tags but they have no corresponding end tags. 


You might be interested to read the previously published HTML tutorial. These are as below:

Now I can proceed to the Tutorial 4: HTML Tags with No Ends. Have a look at the image below. 

HTML Tags with no corresponding end tags


The above image doesnt include all the tags that have no ends. See the complete list below: 

  • <area> 
  • <base> 
  • <basefont>
  • <br> 
  • <col> 
  • <frame> 
  • <hr> 
  • <img> 
  • <input> 
  • <isindex> 
  • <link> 
  • <meta> 
  • <param>  

These tags have no corresponding ends. You just need to start them. 

For example: The <br> tag is used to create a line break. I mean it is used to create a new line. And when you create another line break the first one automatically ends. So it is needless to put an end tag to the <br> tag. Thats why HTML standard excludes the corresponding end of the <br> tag. 

The same thing happened to the other tags mentioned in the list above. Another example could be the <img> tag. It is used to link to the image. Is it necessary to end an image with the help of an ending tag? Not at all. Thats why the image tag is also dont have any ending tag. 


* XHTML always requires end tags. (Quite disappointing!) 



The <p> Tag: 

What about the <p> tag? By this time you all know about this tag. It is used to create a paragraph. And it has a corresponding end tag too. You can also guess - </p>. But many HTML authors even dont know this exists! 

However if you avoid the ending tag, I mean the </p> tag, your browser will never complain. The document will work quite fine. It is somewhat like the <br> tag. But the <br> tag has no end by rules. 

You can consider the rule as Omitting Tags. Yes, there are some tags in HTML which have end tags but you can avoid them. 



Hope you enjoy todays tutorial. Because this is an interesting feature of HTML in that sense that some tags have no ends. Some end tags you can omit as you wish. Stay in touch to get more . . .

Lower Rep Numbers Power Up Strength Gains Without Compromising Hypertrophy Study Compares Volume Equated 3x10 vs 7x3 Resistance Training Regimen

As a SuppVersity reader you know that the number of studies with reliable and above all relevant information about the differential effects of high vs. low rep training is scarce. Compared to the number of studies which deals with question like "Is it better I perform 10x3 or rather only 7x3 reps x sets of bench presses?", their number is still pretty high, though.

With their latest paper in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research Brad Schoenfeld et al. actually break ground: A study with trainees with on average 4.2 ± 2.4 years of training experience (range of 1.5 to 10 years) that deals with the aforementioned question whether 3x10 or 7x3 would be the optimal set x rep range for strength and size gains has yet - at least as far as I recall - not been conducted.

To compare the two loading strategies, the 20 male study participants were randomly assigned to one of the two types of resistance training routines they had to follow for 8 weeks to the figurative "T" in the study (Schoenfeld. 2014):
  • a strength-type resistance training routine (ST)
  • a hypertrophy-type resistance training routine (HT)
To ensure adequate protein intake, the participants were provided with a free protein supplement on training days. The product (Iso100 Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate, Dymatize Nutrition) contained 24g protein and ony 1g carbohydrate and had to be consumed within one hour post-exercise.

The hypertrophy workout was a split routine where multiple exercises were performed for a specific muscle group in a session, with only 1 muscle group trained per session (see Table 1).
Scientifically accurate, but maybe not 100% realistic: Usually you will see trainees train with an overall higher volume, when they are using 3x10 vs. 7x3 routines. As logical and necessary the standardized volume may be - from a practical point of view its not realistic to equate both arms for volume-load. This does not mean that the results of the study at hand are irrelevant, but it does mean that they dont necessarily reflect the way advanced trainees train.
A moderate number of repetitions (target of 10 repetitions per set within a range of 8-12 repetitions) were performed with rest periods of 90 seconds afforded between sets and exercises. The load was adjusted for each exercise as  needed on successive sets to ensure that subjects achieved momentary muscular exhaustion within the target repetition range.

As you can see in Figure 1, the total exercise volume which was kept identical to make the two training regimen comparable, the increase in biceps size is another variable that did not differ in-between the groups.

The latter cannot be said of the 1-RM and bench press and most significantly the 1-RM squat performance which (obviously?) benefits from a lower rep range - at least at a fixed volume.
Whats special about this study? The subjects are trained individuals, the differences between the two protocols tested are smaller than in previous studies (e.g. 6x4 vs. 3x10 in Chestnut & Docherty. 1999) and the results implicate that >75% of the trainees could be compromising their strength gains by training with too many reps - and why all that? Because bro-science says: 10-12 reps is optimal for hypertrophy and bigger muscles are "sexier" than stronger ones ;-)
Apropos "fixed volume": While it makes sense from a science point of view to compare 7x3 (ST) and 3x10 (HT) regimen at identical volumes, trainees will usually train at a higher volume on 3x10 rep vs. 7x3 rep regimen.

With respect to the advanced strength gains, I am pretty sure that the volume "restriction" (compared to what wed see in the real world) in the HT group is not the reason that 7x3 is superior to 3x10, when it comes to building muscle. Rather than that, I would be curious to see, whether a higher volume, higher rep regimen with 3x10 would not induce greater gains in muscle size. The fact that it is already on par with the ST regimen - in spite of significantly lower strength increases - would speak in favor of this hypothesis. Without an additional study, though, the corresponding question cannot be answered.

True or False You Can Ab Use Nicotine Chewing Gums to Get Shredded Without Compromising Your Health

Nicotine gums are made for smokers. Smokers are leaner than no-smokers. Chewing nicotine gums helps you lean out... broscience? Logic? Or bullshit?
Its one of the better-known pieces of broscience: "Nicotine chewing gums will promote weight loss!" Aside from being "better-known", its yet also highly controversial. In that, people usually dont question the fact that nicotine chewing gums may promote weight loss (we do all know that smokers, are leaner, dont we?), but rather that they do so in the absence of significant ill-health effects.

Since this is the SuppVersity and not the bb.com bulletin board, I am not going to restrict todays analysis on the health issues. Instead, I will start by looking for scientific evidence that would confirm the common sense assumption that chewing nicotine gums does in fact promote weight loss -- in humans, not in rodents (Lupien. 1988).

Lets first take a look at the connection between nicotine and body weight management in general. In 2006 Chen et al. published an intriguing paper the title of which could in fact explain why smokers tend to be lighter than non-smokers (for US citizens thats ~ 3.7% leaner; cf. Albanes. 1987): "Cigarette Smoke Exposure Reprograms the Hypothalamic Neuropeptide Y Axis to Promote Weight Loss" (Chen. 2006)

According to Chen et al., the anorexic effects they observed in a 4 week rodent study are behind the anti-obesity effects of smoking. Similar effects on appetite in general and reductions in sugar cravings (Grunberg. 1982) in human studies as well. Nevertheless, if a reduction in appetite was the only beneficial effect of nicotine would be limited to phases of ad-libitum dieting. A direct effect on fat loss, as it is implied by broscience, on the other hand, would not exist.
Beware of becoming skinny fat! While the average smoker may be lighter, he is not necessarily leaner. The results of a 1989 study by Shimokata et al. show that smokers have higer waist-to-hip ratios and "indicate that there are harmful effects of cigarette smoking on the pattern of distribution of body fat" i.e. away from the harmless body parts, i.e. the extremities and right to the epicenter of unhealthy fat: the waist! Due to the fact that cigarette smoking is also associated with unhealthy eating habits (Dallongeville. 1998), its yet difficult to tell, whether this effect is (solely) due to the cigarettes.
If it was not for Schechter et al. and other scientists who report "nicotine-induced weight loss in rats without an effect on appetite" (Schechter. 1976), I could stop here and tell you that (a) you obviously dont want to chew nicotine gums for the rest of your life to benefit from its appetite suppressing phases and that (b) it wouldnt make sense to chew them in a phase, where youre counting calories, anyway (if you want the appetite suppressing effects, anyway, add caffeine, this will enhance them; Jessen. 2005).

Thanks to the impressive reduction in body weight Schlechter et al. observed in the previously cited rodent study in the absence of statistically significant reductions in food intake (graphs at the bottom of Figure 1), its worth to keep digging further.

Ladies, beware! The non-food related weight loss could be a "male only thing"! According to Grunberg et al. "the nicotine-related changes in body weight were accompanied by changes in bland food and water consumption" in female rodents - as the authors point out, a significant difference to previous studies (Grunberg. 1986). Accordingly, a follow-up study showed: "The body weight of females that had received nicotine were indistinguishable from controls up to 4 months after cessation of nicotine. The body weight of males that had received 12 mg nicotine per kg per day remained lower than controls." (Grunberg. 1897). Notably, the dreaded weight regain occured in male & female rodents (Figure 2)!
If you take a close look at the results you will yet realize that there is a big caveat to the impressive weight loss (specifically in the 3x0.8mg/kg group | human equivalent ~ 3x4mg or three high dose nicotine chewing gums). Yes, I am talking about the the nasty weight regain that occurred - likewise in the absence of increased food intakes - when the nicotine administration was seized.

Against that background, its all the more important to find evidence from human studies. Unfortunately, the majority of studies on nicotine gums is not relevant to the topic, because they are (a) dealing with the success of smoking cessations, or (b) dealing with weight regain after smoking cessation. We will therefore have to resort to ostensibly unrelated results such as...

    the increase in leptin levels researchers from the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Göteborg (Sweden) observed in a 1999 study in 73 subjects: 23 non-smokers, 31 smokers and 19 long-term nicotine gum chewers (NGCs) with similar ranges of age, body mass index (BMI) and per cent body fat. As the authors of the corresponing paper point out, "[t]he increased leptin levels may be an important reason for the lower body weight in smokers." (Eliasson. 1999). Unfortunately "long-term" is nothing you would associate with the use of nicotine gums as diet adjuvant.

    As suggestive as they may be, the increases in leptin are thus probably not relevant for short term decreases in body weight - or even better body fat - as you would expect them, when youre dieting.
  • the association with hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance the same Swedish researchers from the Sahlgrenska University Hospital observed in a previous investigation (Taskinen. 1996) clearly suggest that the chronic consumption of nicotine leads to insulin resistance, metabolic abnormalities associated with the insulin resistance syndrome, and increased cardiovascular morbidity.

    On the other hand, we are - I cant repeat that often enough - not talking about the chronic use of nicotine gums, but their (ab-)use for 4-6 weeks to propel your fat loss results. Eventually, the results are thus as irrelevant as the previously mentioned beneficial effects on leptin (see previous bullet-point).

    the "pronounced" thermogenic effect researchers from the The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Denmark observed in their 2003 study. Aside from scientific evidence that the administration of nicotine has thermogenic effects, the second important result of the study at hand is the observation hat the thermogenic effects  of 1 mg nicotine (measured over 150 min after the ingestion) can be (almost) doubled, if the nicotine is administered in conjunction with 100 mg of caffeine (Jessen. 2004).

    Its also important to note that "[i]ncreasing the nicotine dose to 2 mg does not increase the thermogenic effect but produces side effects in most subjects." (Jessen. 2003) More is thus, as so often, not better for nicotine (a similar non-linear dose-response effect was observed with cigarettes, as well; cf. Collins. 1996). A previous study by Collinset al. (1994) found a 7.5% increase in resting energy expenditure with 200mg of caffeine and a similarly low amount of nicotine, i.e. 0.8mg of nicotine from cigarette smoke over a 3h period.
If you take a look at the evidence I provided, it supports the previously raised concerns about the long-term use of nicotine gums. On the other hand, the study by Jessen et al., as well as the study Collins et al. who didnt just find a similar synergistic effect of caffeine and nicotine, but were also able to show that the effects occur in both smokers and non-smokers (Collins. 1994; similar results in Perkins. 1989), clearly indicate that the short-term (ab-)use of nicotine gums may in fact promote the loss of body weight and - assuming youre getting your 1.5g/kg protein and lifting heavy objects - body fat, as well.

Do men better sniff their nicotine?! While snuff is obviously not identical to an intranasal nicotine spray, the results Perkins et al. present in their 1996 study which investigated the effects of 4x20µg/kg nicotine that was administered intranasally every 30 minutes for 2h after the consumption of tonic water or alcohol are quite impressive... well, at least in men. In contrast to the male subjects in whom the nicotine only increased the energy expenditure by almost 13%, the 3.8% increase in the female study subjects was not significant! Whether thats a result of the absolutely lower dosage (remember the nicotine was dose per body weight) or a true sex-difference is uncertain.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to say whether these benefits come with significant negative effects on your health. Evidence on short-term effects of nicotine abuse in human beings is scarce. Furthermore studies in non-smokers suggest that healthy people and people with pre-existing problems with glucose management react differently, with the former experiencing no and the latter experiencing severe reductions in insulin resistance in response to the acute infusion of nicotine in a 2001 study by Axelsson et al.

As far as the dreaded increases in insulin resistance are concerned, you could thus argue that the contemporary evidence suggest that healthy athletic individuals have nothing to fear. Since the same appears to be true for the negative effects on platelet count (Mundal. 1995), blood pressure and other markers of cardiovascular health (Benowitz. 2002). For people who belong to one of the classic risk groups, i.e. men and women with metabolic syndrome and / or existing heart condition, the use of nicotine gum may yet easily result in a hospital stay or worse (Rigotti. 1986).
If you want to try it, try this: 200mg caffeine + 1mg nicotine from chewing gums upon rising, another 200mg of caffeine and 1mg nicotine at lunch or pre-workout, additional 2x 100mg caffeine + 1mg nicotine between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner.
Bottom line - True! For healthy athletic folks! Just to make that clear. I am not, by any means recommending the use of nicotine gums for weight loss. All I do is to answer the often heard question whether the bro-scientific assumption that theyd help you shed body fat is true.

And, by the way, the study that would confirm that "dieting + nicotine" = greater weight / fat loss than "dieting alone" has not yet been conducted. If you want to do your own N=1 study, do it at your own risk. Next to potential (albeit for healthy people probably controllable health issues), it appears as if there was also a minimal risk of addiction for never-smokers (Etter. 2007) | Comment on Facebook!

Carnitine Deficiency of Vegetarians Can Be Compensated W 2g of L Carnitine Tartrate Per Day Unfortunately Without Measurable Metabolic or Performance Benefits

Vegetarian athletes do lack carnitine in their diets and muscle, but whether this has significant effects on their performance appears to be questionable based on the results of the study at hand.
In a recent study, researchers from the University Hospital Basel investigated whether the previously observed low carnitine levels of vegetarians could be compensated for by longterm oral treatment with 2g of l-carnitine to replenish the body carnitine pool. Furthermore, the scientists wanted to know whether this would have significant effects on (a) fuel metabolism and (b) physical performance of vegetarians and omnivores.

Novakova et al. hypothesized that "treatment with carnitine would increase plasma and possibly also skeletal muscle carnitine concentrations in vegetarians and would thereby improve skeletal muscle energy metabolism and physical performance" (Novakova. 2015).

As you already know from the headline of this article, the latter was not the case and that despite the fact that the data in Figure 1 indicates that the daily provision of 2x1g l-carnitine tartrate after breakfast and dinner, respectively, for twelve weeks lead to a significant increase of the muscular carnitine levels of the 16 vegetarian, 18-40 year-old subjects of the study at hand.

In the 8 omnivore subjects that served as a control, the non-choline supported (choline maximizes carnitine retention | learn more) provision of a total 2g of l-carnitine tartrate did not show a consistent effect on the total carnitine muscle content (Figure 1).
Hold on, wasnt carnitine the stuff thats responsible for the artherogenic effects of meat? If you believe in the headlines in all the major news outlets after the publication of the 2013 study by Koeth et al., the answer would be: "Yes! It does.". If you take a look at the existing scientific evidence it is yet a bit strange that this hold only for processed, best fried, yet not for other types of meat (learn more). One of the latest meta-analyses of in vivo studies indicates by the way that "L-carnitine is associated with a 27% reduction in all-cause mortality, a 65% reduction in VAs [ventricular arrhythmias], and a 40% reduction in anginal symptoms in patients experiencing an acute myocardial infarction." Furthermore, the authors from the Mayo Clinic demand that "study with large randomized controlled trials of this inexpensive and safe therapy in the modern era is warranted" (DiNicolantonio. 2013). And if you look at the epidemiological evidence, it will strike you as odd that eating unprocessed red meat regularly is not associated with a significant increase of heart disease, although it is the type of meat that is highest in carnitine (Micha. 2010).
This observation in the omnivore control group is quite disappointing - specifically in view of the fact that 90% of the people who buy carnitine supplements probably eat meat.

In that, its probably a small comfort that the increase in muscle carnitine levels didnt pay off in terms of increased physical performance, anyway. A brief glimpse at the data in Figure 2 goes to show you: Neither of the tested metabolic and performance variables changes significantly from baseline to post-supplementation. If anything there as a minimal glycogen sparing effect which didnt reach statistical significance either (not shown in Figure 2). Most importantly, however, the VO2max and the RER of which you would hope that a supplement thats supposed to increase fatty acid oxidation would increase and lower them, respectively, didnt budge.
The more choline the better the carnitine retention. The question is however: If the levels already increased and there still was no effect - would adding choline actually make a difference?
Bottom line: The good news is that vegetarians can easily compensate their lack of dietary carnitine by supplementing with 2g of l-carnitine tartrate per day. The bad news is that this is without consequences on any of the relevant metabolic and/or performance markers.

In view of the fact that the l-carnitine was consumed immediately after breakfast and dinner, i.e. in a period where insulin was high and could help shuttle the carnitine into the muscle, its questionable whether the addition of choline, of which you as a SuppVersity reader know that it increases the muscular carnitine retention, would have yielded significantly different results. It may have helped to elevate the carnitine levels in the muscle of the omnivore control subjects, but its unlikely that it would have changed the non-existent effects the increase in muscular carnitine pools in the vegetarians had on their metabolism and physical performance | Comment on Facebook!
